Moving in Policy

If you are moving to Burlington and want your son or daughter to be eligible to attend Tryouts the following guide will provide a step by step walkthrough of what’s required before attending tryouts.

**PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE 2 TYPES OF TRANSFERS**

If you are uncertain please contact
[email protected] with player name and DOB.

1. OHF TRANSFER - player is moving from another association outside of the Alliance Hockey.
    Example: GTHL, OMHA, NOHA.

Any player moving into Burlington will now be instructed to contact the outgoing Minor Member’s Office. For example if a player is moving from Mississauga (GTHL) to Burlington (Alliance Hockey) they should be contacting the GTHL Office. The Minor Member’s office will then send them the New OHF Residential Move form. They will be instructed to send back the completed form along with the required documents listed. If approved the Minor Member will sign the form and email a copy of the signed form to the Alliance Hockey (Sue Hishon).  The Alliance Hockey Office will initiate the transfer on HCR and update the address. Once the transfer is approved on HCR Burlington will receive the automatic email letting us know the transfer has been approved.  We will now have access to this player and the family can then register. If denied, the Parent will be given instructions on how to appeal this decision.

2. Alliance Hockey – Residential Move Form (RMF) - player is moving from an Alliance Hockey centre to another Alliance Hockey centre.

Alliance Hockey to Alliance Hockey - RMF

Step 1: Obtain the necessary documents, as per the attached form required:

Step 4: Alliance Hockey approval can take time, once approval is received – you will receive an email notifying you that you are now eligible to register your player to attend Rep Tryouts.
